• Waste Management announced that it extended its contract for an additional 10 years, alongside the PGA Tour and the Thunderbirds; the groups facilitate Arizona’s Phoenix Open.
• The waste and recycling corporation’s new agreement will see it supporting the annual golf tournament until 2025.
• The hauler is currently at the tail end of a six year contract as sponsor of the zero-waste event.

PGA Tour Commissioner Tim Finchem said, “Since becoming title sponsor, Waste Management has done a wonderful job of applying its environmental initiatives to the Waste Management Phoenix Open to make it a truly green week, a particularly impressive achievement with more than a half-million fans attending each year.”

Waste Management’s current contract is set to end after the 2015 tournament.
