- In March, Waste Management completed the purchase of Deffenbaugh Disposal Inc. for more than $400 million after Waste Management agreed with the U.S. Department of Justice to divest small and commercial waste collection assets in Arkansas and Kansas.

The company will keep all of D.C. Trash's employees. The city council in Dardanelle, AR transferred its two-year contract to Waste Management.
