- Waste Management of Houston, TX announces the opening of its latest compressed natural gas fueling station. The station is located in Melbourne, FL and will service the Brevard County fleet.
- The waste and recycling company has a fleet in the county comprised of 35 trucks, all of which are powered by CNG. Waste Management has 262 CNG-operated trucks throughout the Sunshine State, making this fleet the largest in the waste industry in Florida.
- Waste Management anticipates operating 500 CNG trucks in Florida by 2019.

Boone Pickens, to promote an increase of CNG fueled fleets across the nation.
