Dive Insight:
According to Adam Weitsman, the CEO of Upstate, the company is making moves to develop more sites in the Northeast region of the country, making the location “perfectly situated in the state where we don’t yet have as large a presence.” Weitsman says he plans to invest a significant amount of resources into this particular location. He plans to invest $3 million in new equipment, renovations and improvements. This acquisition seems to fit the company’s vision to expand its holdings further in the Northeast.
