Dive Brief:
- When a County Hauling Corp. sanitation vehicle's brakes failed, the 25 ton truck rolled down a hill into the living room of a house in a Pennsylvania town.
- After the driver discovered the brakes would not work, the two employees inside the vehicle jumped out of the truck. Both experienced minor injuries.
- Nobody was in the home at the time the incident occurred; the house must be rebuilt and the family plans on moving due to the destruction.
Dive Insight:
Police and fire personnel were at the scene for four hours. The Washington County tactical team secured the building.
