Rumpke acquires Ohio hauler's assets

Dive Brief:

  • Rumpke Consolidated Companies Inc., a private waste and recycling services company, purchased certain assets of Logan, Ohio-based Farmer's Refuse & Trucking Inc. for an undisclosed figure.
  • Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, Rumpke will receive Farmer's waste collection assets including its 2,000 residential and 700 commercial customers in addition to its small fleet.
  • Farmer's will keep the roll-off aspect of its business.

The move continues a streak of acquisitions by companies like Rumpke and Advanced Disposal.
