• The Missouri City Council has awarded its commercial solid waste contract to Republic Services. 
• Beginning on February 1, 2014, Republic will provide services to businesses in Missouri City, Texas.​The agreement is set to expire on December 31, 2015.
• The City Council decided to go with Republic because of its competitive pricing. The company will absorb franchise fees for residential and commercial customers.
