The employment of former Republic Services Chief Operating Officer Timothy Stuart terminated on Thursday, according to a financial filing from the company. Brummer took over the role on Friday.
Prior to his most recent role, Brummer served as Republic’s area president for the South and Northwest from January 2016 to June 2019, according to the filing. He also oversaw the former East and Gulf Coast regions, each for about a year. Prior to his time at Republic, Brummer was a regional vice president and general manager at BlueLinx Corp.
Stuart joined Republic in 2006 and became chief operating officer in 2019, per his company profile. Prior to that, the role was held by Jon Vander Ark, who is now Republic’s CEO.
Republic did not give a reason for Stuart’s departure.
