- Republic Services has added 20 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles to its fleet in Springfield, MO.
- The hauler now operates just under 120 CNG vehicles in the state. The new trucks will replace outdated vehicles that ran on diesel fuel.
- The waste and recycling company also installed a new natural gas fueling station in the Springfield area that will serve 33% of the local fleet that is now powered by natural gas.

Republic Services has 2,200 CNG trucks across the country, and half of the vehicles that the company bought this year are CNG.
In addition, the hauler also operates 38 natural gas fueling stations located around the U.S. In the past couple of years, the company has been adding CNG trucks to fleets from Anaheim to Indianapolis in order to reduce emissions and costs.
