- A former waste-to-energy site in Biddeford, ME will receive a $200,000 grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Brownfields Program. The funds will be used to clean up contaminants remaining on the vacant site.
- The 8.5-acre site expects to receive funds totaling $3.8 million for environmental work, development and further cleanup.
- The site contains traces of dioxin and polychlorinated biphenyl, which will be removed during remediation.
