- K2 Waste Solutions LLC — a recently-launched waste company aimed at establishing a strategic group of trash and recycling haulers in mid-sized markets — has purchased Dayton, TX-based LT's Garbage Service. This purchase marks the third acquisition made since K2's start earlier this year.
- LT’s Garbage Service provides waste and recycling hauling for residential customers in the Houston area. K2 Co-President and Founder Bill Killian said LT's commercial waste service will be a growth area for the firm, as well as an entry point into the Harris County, Chambers County, and Liberty County markets.
- In addition to LT's Garbage Service, K2 — which is based in Corpus Christi, TX — has purchased Phoenix-based residential trash hauler Greenline Waste and Recycling LLC, as well as Menomonee Falls, WI-based trash hauler Lake Country Disposal LLC.

Similar to their peers at Mid America Recycling, the owners of K2 Waste Solutions have combined many years of industry experience to take advantage of deals in the waste and recycling industry. Partners Eric Konik and Bill Killian recently formed their company with a focus on haulers in niche markets and other small and mid-sized firms. This trend of mergers acquiring smaller waste and recycling companies has become a movement across the industry, with companies such as JBC Group and Mountain Waste & Recycling Inc. reflecting similar structures.
