A commercial and industrial solid waste services and recycling company, EnviroSolutions is now one of the biggest waste-by-rail firms in North America.

Assets included in the acquisition are: the New Jersey-based transload and intermodal facility operations in Pittsburgh, ELS' interests in New Jersey Rail Carriers LLC, and the long-term operating lease of NJRC, including rail cars, containers customer contracts and operating equipment.

The revenue of ELS' operations is estimated at $40 million.
According to Waste 360, Eric Wallace, ESI president and CEO said, “With concern growing over rising fuel costs, traffic congestion and hauling distances, and environmental impacts, ESI is poised to benefit from rail transportation’s positioning as the most cost effective and environmentally friendly long-term solution for transporting waste out of the New York/New Jersey marketplace.”
