Devouring haulers, Advanced Disposal adds seventh firm to its 2015 acquisitions tally

Dive Brief:

  • It seems to be a buyer’s market in the waste and recycling industry, and Advanced Disposal is on a shopping spree. The company recently bought assets of Smethport, PA-based CF Burdick Trucking. The waste company buy is the third acquisition by Advanced Disposal in June.
  • Advanced Disposal, based in Ponte Vedra, FL, also bought contracts that service customers in Bradford and Smethport, PA through the acquisition, according to a press release.
  • The company also recently bought Ross Disposal Services, of Decatur, IL. This year, Advanced Disposal also has bought Hornback Recycling & Disposal Inc., Pea Ridge Waste Management LLC, Little Hoppers, and Rock Disposal Inc.

Acquiring CF Burdick Trucking enlarges Advanced Disposal’s roll-off commercial services to businesses in McKean and Warren counties said Dave Lavender, Advanced Disposal region vice president, according to Waste360.
