- All Waste, a trash hauler and recycling firm, has plans underway to open a compressed natural gas (CNG) station in Hartford, CT, by the end of 2014.
- The company already operates a public CNG station in the Hartford area. This station is used to fuel the 14 sanitation vehicles in the city's fleet.
- All Waste announced it had inked a deal with TruStar Energy, based in California, to construct the new station. TruStar is a company that designs, builds, and manages natural gas facilities.

All Waste plans to order 10 additional CNG trucks to add to its existing fleet. The company set a goal to convert a majority of its fleet, or 60 of its 80 vehicles, into CNG in the next five years.
Waste firms and communities alike are building new CNG stations across the country as they transition their fleets to CNG. Waste Management has several projects underway, including a new station in Pennsylvania and another in Florida, while Advanced Disposal opened a new CNG station in Detroit, MI in May of this year.
